About the Artist

The artist (Kaden) began dyeing discs in August of 2021. This started out as a simple hobby sparked by curiosity, and quickly evolved into something much greater. Since then Roughly 1000 Discs Have Been Dyed, countless hours have been dedicated to the progression of this art style, and the art has made it into the hands of so many disc golfers accross the state and even the country! This has turned into something much greater than initially planned when starting, and it continues to grow every day.

Diverse Disc Dyes was created to combine disc golf performance with bold artistic expression. What started as the simple idea of wanting discs that didn't look as plain or boring for personal disc golf discs, turned into passion project fueled by dedication, ambition, and expression. The goal of dyeing discs as a means to simply add colors to a disc, quickly shifted towards the goal of creating truely unique, outstanding, and one-of-a-kind peices of art that stand out. Disc dyeing offered an opportunity to express creative feadom in a way that directly impacted a passionate hobby, the people around me, and the disc golf community as a whole.

The learning curve of disc dyeing is one that takes a very gradual and often frustrating trajectory. With dye results being essentially irreversible, combined with the inconsistency of color binding to different plastic types, learning even the fundamentals of high quality disc dyeing is a difficult task. The first few months of initial dyes provided a lot of learning opportunities and its fair share of frustrating moments. But gradualy a foundation was built and the process began to feel more natural. After the results of each dye continued to improve at a steady rate, the true potential of what can be accomplished from this art medium began to look clear. This transition point occured in January of 2022 and since then I have continued to improve my techniques and consistency, as well as learning a large variety of new designs, and producing some absolutely incredible peices of art! As I have continued to grow and create, countless people have followed along, purchased discs from me, and trusted me to dye discs directly out of their bag. As of 2026, this project has begun to evolve in a completely new direction, branching out towards content creation, sponsorships, and a focus on competitive disc golf as an individual, and as a team. As this journey continues to move forward and expand, highlights and important moments will be captured through social media, and new dyes will continue to be posted regularly!

The potential when it comes to disc dyeing is truely endless, and I am constantly finding new design to make and improvements to work on with my art. It is a constant progession that continues to excite me and introduce me to new people and ideas. As long as I have discs to dye, and people who want to throw dyed discs, I plan to continue learning, improving, and creating these unique peices of art.
